Tumbling bullets....???

You might want to do a little more research into a subject before commenting on it. It has been very well documented.

Many people have been looking for years for even the tiniest shred of evidence to back up the idea that tumbling degrades powders. I have never heard that anyone anywhere has ever produced any. If you can cite one of your very well documented sources, I and other would be most interested to see it.

You guys are all way too smart for me, with your internet prowness. Do what you like, you will anyway. While you're at it, might as well completely disregard reloading manuals etc... The experts haven't a clue what they're talking about. How many times have we all heard it: "I have been loading 2 grains more than the published max for 20 years and never had a problem" then this same person can't wait to get back to his computer and proudly I might add, post "My gun blew up! my gun blew up!" I'll just sit back and watch natural selection do its work.

Good luck to all,

If you're such an expert (with your 30 years of experience) how about providing some evidence that tumbling the ammo will degrade the powder?

You're just doing the very thing that you've accused everyone else of doing...

wouldn't powder degrade from just being in the container then? like say you buy some powder, you leave it in your four wheeler for a few years (dont ask why lol) then take it out after a few years of hitting the trails and load it. what would happen then?

doesn't this happen with packaging, and shipping and handling. then years that it may sit around next to that box of 30 year old projectiles? get moved around every few years. in and out of a hopper.

wouldn't that do as much damage as tumbling for an hour? maybe not the exact same but i think it may be close to it.

Nothing unusual will happen. Does anyone think that powder manufacturers have not taken into account that powder will be transported, stored and what ever else?
Maybe powder should be stirred not shaken like 007's martini.:bangHead:
