Bullet mold returned by customs??

Long story short, I'm hving an issue with an American mold manufacturer (I'm not the only one) and after getting the BBB involved it turns out my mold was returned to them by customs (I'm assuming Canada Customs, it doesn't say) and they re-shipped it. Why would a mold by stopped at the border and returned? I've ordered several other molds from the USA and never had this issue.
 
I learned the hard way if it says "bullet" anywhere in the description CC will send it back if they catch it. Your mileage may vary because I have had one come across without issue.

Overzealous customs agent I reckon.

I got reloading manuals stopped at the border one time. Worst part is you can't complain, can't appeal, can't trace it back to a particular agent.
 
I've had tons of politically sensitive stuff come accross the border. I don't believe in lieing, but you MUST be creative in your description. You absolutely MUST avoid anything that leads them to believe this part is in any way gun or ammo related. Molds and gun parts can be described as "used machine parts" or "casting accessory" or some such. Bullets (slugs, not loaded ammo) can be "metal parts".
 
The border is a black hole sometimes.
I lost 3 magazines from the states coming here. They were kosher to boot.

Bullets are controlled for export from the US, so deliberately mislabelling bullets as "metal parts" might be necessary when violating US federal law. Could help avoid detection and prosecution.
I routinely import gun parts which are accurately labelled for what they are, and have never had a problem. Of course, the packages are accompanied by the necessary export documents prepared by a licenced exporter.

Yup, my angle slope indicator came across as photo equipment. I've ordered a couple of bullet moulds from NEI, that were successfully received . . . so far so good.
 
We import actions, barrels etc. and have never had a problem with Canada customs. If you are having a problem with stuff from the USA then it's probably USA customs being zealots that it may be a gun part.
 
There are a lot of shipping restrictions on anything gun related out of the states now.
Wanted a choke out of Cabela's, and some other stuff. They won't ship chokes to Canada now. Cabela's wpg has to drive to the border to p/u various gun related items.
They need export licences now, Cabela's won't buy them. There are a few US companies doing the same apparently, not enough business up here to justify it. Governments!!!!!
