I have a Glock 17 with a locking device on the slide cover plate. It's a key type device that locks out the stricker from moving. The Glock did not come with the key, I'm not the original owner so I don't know the manufacture is to order a new key. Does anyone know who makes this device?

Isn't that a brand new glock feature? I saw it advertised but I didn't know it was available in Canada yet... Katz if you aren't the original owner, I think you are F****d as it seems to be impossible to bypass. Contact the original owner for the key...who would sell a gun with this option and not include the key????

No not the same feature, this is installed on the slide. The slide cover plate is removed and replaced with this new plate with the device. The key looks to be like a handcuff key.

I bought the Glock used from Ellwood Epps a few years back. The original owner lost the key.

Uses a standard handcuff key to lock and unlock the stricker assembly, I have one of the unassembled units in my armorers kit, it was not a Glock product.
