M-14 Troy Chassis

Im in the process of installing a Troy Chassis on my M-14, is there a trick to getting the muzzle break off the barrel?

Are you installing a norinco m14? If so the muzzle break might be welded on. It also depends which year you have. I have a 2009 and mine was welded tight like a virgin. Thanks to Hungry we got it off.

how do i tell what year it is?

It should say on the rifle. Mine says 2007. If you follow the sticky on "whacking" the flash hider off, you should have it off in about 5 minutes.

get it off. Now i just have to buy a spring guide and a couple other items and i can reassemble.
