Target ammo taking a big jump

Although I still reload, I have burnt a lot of Kent/Gamebore factory stuff at shoots over the past few years, including about 20 flats the Gamebore XL loads that Faststeel alluded to. Unfortunately, Kent will no longer bring them into the Country .... and the days of $30-$32 a flat went out the window when lead prices jumped a few years back.

Their Sporting 1 oz. loads at 12oo work very well, and I particularly like their 1 oz. Blue Diamond loads - even though they are a little more pricey. Lately, for Skeet, Trap, 5-Stand and the not-so-distant Sporting stands, I've been getting great results with their Velocity International 24 gram loads !

A few of the guys in the Calgary order did not get what they ordered. The fellow who did the Calgary order is not sure what will be available for 2010. Last year I only ordered 10 flats. If I get a chance this year it will be 30.

I put in an order for a couple of flats of Kent 16 gauge last summer and I ended up with Federal 16 gauge at a substantionally higher price!!
 
I had the same problem with my Winchester rebate, except in my area even Wally World would not honour it. Quick Pay Solutions who issue the Discover card finally cut me a check for the entire amount. I work part time in a store that sells AA. I warn as many as I can when I see them pick up a rebate application.

I think that the Kent International load is vastly under rated by sporting shooters. Shot a lot of the 1oz as well. FS
 
Anyone received an order for Winchester ammo from Hummason yet?

If so what was the price?

We haven't received our order yet...but we have received an invoice for part of it...@$60.00 per flat......NOT the $55.00 per flat we were quoted.

This happen to anyone else?

I guess we'll find out when the dust settles.

If they quote me a price and don't honor it...I don't have to pay the new "surprise" price I'm presented with either.

When I order something based on a price quoted...that's what I expect to pay...and if they're not going to honor it...they should at least inform me so I can decide if I wish to proceed.

I just spoke with Lew Hummason and the price is $55.00 CDN plus applicable taxes drop shipped in Canada for Winchester Super Target shells. 102 flats 12 and 20 gauge mix and match. Call Lew at 905-648-3430. The shipment must be made to an FFL or business, for example, they won't ship to your private residence.

Neera ... there must be a mistake on your invoice ... call Lew.

We have our regular spring order going in soon. Is there a minimum # of cases for the $55 per flat for the WST's? Thanks, Steve
 
Yes also talked to Lew today and placed an order and it will be shipped anywhere in Canada for $55.00 flat for Winchester Super Target...Anyone else needing shells this is a good deal should jump on the band wagon and get a hold of Lew Hummason at 905-648-3430
 
Anyone in the northwestern ontario area want to team up on an order?
I am in Fort Frances and it is really hard to find any type of good deals on ammo without driving for 5 hours one way!
