Bought a new Glock 17 today... 3.5 Gen?

My first gun ever was glock 19, I sold it to move to Vancouver for school. Then I bought a Glock 23 from a friend that needed money, but all my pistols are 45 or 9 so I decided to sell my G23 in favor of a G17. I now prefer the fullsize frame compared to the compact frames of the 19 and 23. The sales guy said it was a 4th Gen... but after doing some research I guess its only a 3.5 gen.

Yeah this is a what some call a gen 3 RTF2 or a gen 3.5.

Gen4 has replaceable backstrap. Cool gun regardless. I have a RTF G22 on the way.

P.S. Nice Glock! Don't know if I am a real fan of the grip though... looks too damn smooth.

I think the grip angle on the 4th gen is more like the 1911 too, or so I have heard....haven't actually seen or held a 4th gen yet.

I own a G22 RTF2, you would be surprised at the grip texture,they are quite aggressive,there is no slip in my hand.

I tried that gun, and it was not for me, the grip was anything but pleasant, but if you like it thats all that matters ! Have fun!
