Modern Canadian Ranger's Lee Enfield

Here is the Liberal history of "peacemaking".

# In the general election of 1935 the Liberals won a majority government. Mackenzie King was sworn in as Prime Minister of Canada, again.

# Canada declared war on Germany in 1939.

# The Liberals won another majority government in 1940.

The Liberals won the majority in 1940 because all the conservative voters were in Europe or North Africa making sure the Liberals in Canada would not have to learn German....

Yeah, because those nasty Germans were planning on invading Canada. And no I'm not Liberal before you ask.

Hitler did have plans to invade North America. I believe he was working on a new bomber that could reach North America. If he did not screw himself by invading the USSR he would most likely have began a campaign against North America. he had world conquest in mind, either he controlled it, or one of his allies did.

Yes. After we declared war on them. Before 1939 we (US, Canada, Britain) were friends with the Germans. Not to mention, Germany could of easily overrun England after Dunkirk but decided not too in the hope of peace between the two countries.

This isn't a conspiracy or anything, but fact. Germany never wanted to be at war with us.

.

Still could in 1940 if Hitler went after Britain's military & industrial installations instead of London. One wrong move and Nazi Germany lost the war right there.

Not quite. The Wehrmacht and Kriegsmarine couldn't get enough ships to transport the troops across the Channel, especially with the Royal Navy (largest in the world at the time) in the way.

Good to see this thread having alot of activity. What are the requirements to join the Canadian Rangers? I've considered it as an alternative to full active service.

The first requirement is to be in a part of Canada where our Rangers operate. E.g. not Saskatoon. :(

Like Sharky said, go to the CF website and find out. Good luck.

Same problem here. I'd need to relocate somewhere a little more isolated to join a Patrol. Opted to stay on the Supplementary Reserve List in case the opportunity ever arises.
