I purchased a CZ 527 Carbine in 7.62 x 39, for the express purpose of shooting cheap military surplus ammo. To that end, I also bought a large stockpile of Czech ammo.
To my dismay, I learned that the rifle will not reliably fire the ammo. The hammer strike is not sufficiently strong to ignite the hard military primer. Every 3 to 5 rounds has a misfire. On top of everything, I find it difficult to locate commercially manufactured 7.62 x 39 ammunition.
I screwed up again, it seems. Is there anything that can be done to make the CZ 527 fire military ammo?
