hevi shot dead coyote

T- sized shot. Is it available? and if so where can I get some.

Thanks.

I know Epps had some on the weekend but it was 3" OO Buck not T. The price was $24 for 5  I'm sure that there good, but just not $5 a shot good. I went with the blue box federal's for $5.50 a box (5pcs).

Save your money...this stuff is way over-rated and $30 a box. Not to mention hard to find. I saw some down in Grand Forks ND at Scheels. IMO go with regular #4 buckshot and pattern your gun so you know its maximum effective range.

Bass pro in vaughan has lots of 3 and 3-1/2 inch deadcoyote in t shot.
It is over priced but choke it properly and its murder on coyotes out to 50 yards, the claims of 70 yard shotgun kills are pipe dreams.

Thanks you guys. Bass Pro won't ship so thats out. Anywhere else. Is #4 is close to the T shot? I am very new to anything but #7 lead bird shot. I just put on a Dead Coyote choke and that was the shot they recomended thats why Iam searching.

Is "T" not steel shot of some kind?...i would think that #4 buckshot(lead) or any lead buckshot would be more effective. IMHO

I have killed a few in my day with double 00 buck, you can get Remington 3" for about $6.00 a box of five.Unless you make a living killing Coyotes dont waste you money.

If ya cant find the deadcoyote you may be able to find remington hd in BB or T shot it is just as effective as deadcoyote, preaty much the same stuff, price is about the same as the dead coyote.
I have shot both the rem and hevi through the carlsons dead coyote choke with equally good results.
Killed coyotes with both,equally effective.
#4 BUCK does the trick but i like the pattern density of the deadcoyote or rem hd much better.
It is smaller shot so theres alot more in the hull but it penetrates better than 4buck in my testing.
Coyotes that i have shot with the hevi shot both brands have had signifigantly more damage than coyotes i have shot with 4buck.
Were talking broad side passthroughs, completely broken legs and spinal colums and fully penetrated broken skulls,i cant say i have ever had this kind of damage with many different brands of 4 buck.
I can only contribute this to the shot being small but very heavy and hard so it doesent deform like led but instead just keeps plowing through.
On a coyote the dense fur seems to be the biggest factor effecting shot penetration, lead shot tends to deform and ball up in the dense undercoat, not so with the non-deforming heavi shot.
Though it is very expensive i believe heavyshot varieties are the way to go when targeting coyotes with a shot gun.
And lets get real, how many coyotes does the average guy really kill with the shotgun in a given season, for me here in ontario thats usually 10 or less with the shotty,so 40 bucks to shoot ten coyotes isnt much to afford to shoot the best there is.
I do however only use the first shot with dead coyote or rem HD followed by 2 #4 buck in the mag.
Often times a coyote will require a follow up shot so ya break em down with the good stuff and finish em off with the cheap.
