Albertans!

What's with some of the unpleasant remarks about TJ that come up on forums (more so on another popular forum)? I don't get it. He's a fellow board member here (at least he used to be) and on 1 other that I know of that shares his opinon on subjects like everyone else. Is it b/c he is a public figure that he gets criticized?

Someone help me out here?

TJ is a member on the board and like most of us, he has strong opinions on most things. As a public figure however, it is easy to attack him on a personal basis since he is well known. He isn't afforded the same anonymity most of us are.

I have disagreed with him in the past and once made the mistake of using his public persona as a weapon in the argument. It was a mistake because it was the wrong thing to do and was unfair of me to do so since that had nothing to do with the argument (I still strongly disagree with him though:D).

Just have to remind ourselves to attack the idea and not the person.

Good point Sjemac. On that note, I should explain that I agree with Duffy that TM was the best minister we have had (though I have only been in AB for 6 years) however, that is not necessarily saying much. Until he started the whole RAMP/HFH mess he was well respected by most of the hunting population, but it was kind of like finding out your church minister has a big pentagram drawn on the floor of his S&M basement "dungeon". I think a lot of people in the hunting community felt betrayed.

Moving on...

Sjemac, are you coming to AFGA?

Nope. Have teacher's convention on Friday and the oldest boy's science fair on Saturday. Keep us updated though.
