Lucky you. We had to smack the sh*t out of ours at the Barrie M14 clinic to get them off. It makes it a little easier to shim the gas system if you need to. And no, there were no dix lost as a result of said action.

Mine is a Norinco marked M14 from 2009 with the lug and it doesn't have a welded flash hidder either.

I had it al ready to beat the #### outta to get it off as I have a Springfield brake to install instead, but after I loosened the castle nut it pretty much slid off on its own.

Very anti-climatic.

Any pictures?! My Norinco is from 2009, marked M14S, serial starts with 008. Welded and without lug.

I just had mine confirmed at BC M14 clinic, No Welding and has the B Lug. Can't wait to see what muzzle breaks i can fit on her
