Light-mounted Pistol Question

Don't let one pseron ruin the fun that you could have! I shoot a lot of IPSC and there are some "interesting" (read: "I'd like to kick them in the canastas!") people involved with it. I just avoid them.

The IDPA folks are a fun bunch! (so are the IPSC folks!).

One guy doesn't reflect on the whole crowd.

I thought I would stay out of this but....

Gentlemen and I use the term loosely,

I will start with the fact that I shoot IDPA and I am a huge supporter of IDPA in Canada as one of the shooting sports that encourages and educates new shooters into our ranks and keeps a lot of us active in the firearms community that would might fall behind instead of keeping the momentum moving forward.

I will also state that I have taken various different training courses throughout the years from both professional and governmental sources. I am currently co-hosting training courses from Tactical Response this spring at our home range. I believe in good professional training and believe in helping fellow Canadians participate in training that would be otherwise unavailable in Canada. So I see both sides of the fence with correct tactics versus shooting a game.

I also communicate with Bob on a regular basis about IDPA. While we all have our "interesting" identities I must say that Bob has done a lot for promoting this sport into Canada so I will not bash Bob because he has helped us accomplish a lot in a short time. There are a lot of other people that have helped IDPA move forward as well and most of them are in this thread. Bob and I do not agree on everything. Bob is Bob and I am me. I accept this.

I do believe that we all need to read a little between the lines when it comes to posts on the internet. Things are always not so black and white in life. Shooting sports need a guideline or rule book. We all agree to that. Are the rules always the ones that make sense. Unfortunately not. Bob is merely the messanger when it comes to these rule discussions. He has no ability to make up rules or change them whenever he wants to. He asks for clarification when clarification is required. He promotes the sport as it is laid out in its current configuration and does not try to sway from that because of fear of opening a can of worms.

I would like to encourage all those who want to try to shoot IDPA to continue on that goal and see what it is all about before making your decision on one person's personality. IDPA is a fun time if you want it to be. It can be a variety of things to different people, but don't let your differences with one person not let you try something. It is kind of work in a sense. My boss is a royal ####### and pisses me off on a daily basis but I know when I go out to work tomorrow that the people that I will work with will be able to have fun, get the job done and follow most of the rules while doing it.

If any of you have any questions or want to flame me, here is your chance!:D

Looks interesting. Do you have any convenient (not involving heat and hammers) way to put that holster on a molle setup?

TAC PRO holsters can be supplied with threaded inserts in place of the belt loop or paddle. This will allow you to mount the holster on any substrate using the supplied stainless screws, or any screws with a 8-32 thread.
