Alright. When it comes to the older stuff, i will admit, Im kind of bad at knowing what they are. For instance. A good buddy of mine came into a few old rifles from an old lady that had to get rid of them because her husband died. This is one of them. its quite unique. Anywho. If anyone could shed some light on it, that would be great. Alls i know is that its a 303. He also has another one similar to this but chambered in 30-06 . Thanks for the help!

Someone decided to replace the original barrel. Looks like it took a lot of effort. Good thing he had a pipe wrench to assist. The shim is a nice touch....
I'd think twice about shooting that rifle.
 
Looks as if someone haggled a relief groove around the breech of the barrel with a hacksaw. No doubt in an effort to release the torque so that the barrel could be pipewrenched off. I agree with cosmic. Don't even think about shooting the rifle until it is determined exactly what has been done.
 
Obviously, the person who did these, rare artistic creations spend a fare amount of time on these, canadian folk art projects, and deserve to be recognized as such, and be remembered, for having created conversations pieces, that turned weapons of war, into canadian folk art, by permanently hanging these, rare, pieces of canadian folk art on the wall ?
 
Alright! That was easy. Thanks guys. And I already told him that there was no way that I would let him shoot it. The 30/06 is in mint condition though. We are gonna shoot that one. There should be no special Ammo for it, should there be? Regular 30/06?
