For 349 bucks I hope Stalin put the SKS together himself. I can see why you had to lower your price, there wasn't enough morons out there for you to turn a dime. I know how the owners of lebarons operate, even at $220 for their laminate, i bet they are still making a tidy profit on them.
 
I'm glad to see more dealers carrying sks's. The more dealers the better. Some of the dealers out there are crazy......$399.00 for an sks? It better be a two for one deal!
I hope the price comes down even more. It would help to get new shooters interested.


And yeah at $220 they are still turning a good buck.... Dealer price should be about $100.

For those who haven't got the chance to put hands on the deal, they gonna receive more of that stuff. Just hope it's gonna be at same price.
 
LeBarons is out of stock........so what else is new.....this is the Mississauga store

they got something like 5 in the day of the ad, and all are gone, I was going to buy myself a Birthday present today, so much for that idea.....

but all is not lost,,,,,,,I put my name down, to be called when they get more in,,,,maybe next week, well I won't hold my breath, but was told about 25 or so are coming in

I am so bummed.....


but par for the course with LeBarons......


and as mentioned,,,,no hand picking, they bring one out to you, in the box, take or leave it.....hmmmmm
that sucks as well.........

maybe I should have picked up the Bushnell Elite they had for sale, there were a few of them left......
 
Just called markham, no stock yet, 1 to 2 weeks he thinks, no idea of how much stock, and they were not taking names for a list.
He said they were recieving tons of calls about them. Not great marketing to put the add up on the 15th and have no stock.

what else can you expect from Le barons?
there are three things You can absolutely count on and You will always find in their stores and especially the one in Mississauga.
and here is the list:

  1. No Stock
  2. Very rude staff in the gunroom
  3. highest level of incompetence in the gunroom

You have to admit, it will not be easy to find all this "qualities" concentrated in one store...

Actually, I hope this is a sign of more things to come. They started selling surplus ammo not too long ago, and surplus ammo cans. I don't remember them stocking that stuff before.

You mean they resumed selling surplus ammo?
They used to sell lots of military surplus firearms and ammo prior to C-68.

Oh so they did stock this stuff in the past. Interesting. That was long before I got into firearms.

They started, or I guess resumed mid 2009 with crates of 1200 rounds of 7.62 x 39 FMJ for $218 a crate, or $2.54/sleeve of 10.

The add on the site says "While supplies last" so I don't know if it's going to be a regular stock item, or if they just ordered one shipment to see how it would sell.

The strange thing is, it only seems to be the gun room.

The people in the fishing, camping, and outdoor sections, and the ladies at the cash (at least in the Markham store) who get the ammo couldn't be more helpful.

you are absolutely right...

no wait, there is one exception, the ugly fat guy Ryan or Brian in the Mississauga store, with his loaded pants down at his ankles; the worst prick you can imagine.

LOL.

Yeah, I've heard many stories about that guy. I've never been to the Mississauga store myself, but should take a trip there one day to see if the legend is true.
 
I've been in that store and that gun room a couple of times...I wish they could get the Outers bulk patch set in .30 caliber but they always seem to be out...been over four months...come on now :D.

They do have reasonable prices on their carrying bags though. Got a 54 inch shotgun case with re-enforced plastic nose cap for $30. Not bad at all.

Which guy is this exactly ? I seem to remember three or four being in the gun shop on a regular basis but I only talked with two of them briefly.
