XDM makes it into Canada!!!

that gun is exciting! i'm looking forward for an extensive review of his capability....i'm still waiting for my CZ SP01 tactical .40 to show up at my door, next on my list is this XDM , excepting if negative reviews comes in.

i've shot many XD's and found'em klunky and not tight at all, i hope better from the XDM.

Well, Daves sports in the banner is supposed to be bringing some in, but after a short reply, i've heard nothing since, so i don't know whats happening with that. Anyone heard anything from him?

Im kinda wondering the same thing. He posted a new post on the 5th in the dealers section:

But I have also heard nothing since then. He was expecting them to be in our hand by march sometime....seems a bit optimistic to me.

I think i will send him an email today and see what is going on. According to him we should have paid our deposit already.

Vinnie, I have 2 things to say to you;
#### YOU! and thank you very much. I've wanted a XDM for a long time now, good work!

Did anyone mention to you if they'd consider "fixing" thousands of mags in order to make them Canada legal?

Ha-ha-ha-ha ... I have beat up Springfield over this topic so many times, that they stopped replying to me. I had even approached their Custom Shop, they too were not interested in taking my money.

Not only are we in the Great White North stuck with this law, but also a few states in the US. There are more folks in the state of California, than in Canada ... that alone should bring attention to a potential market. Springfield is obviously not interested in what folks are saying on many forums / chat sites.

The last message I got back from Springfield stated that, 10rd mags would be out this winter ... well, winter is almost over and there was not even a whisper of it at SHOT, in Vegas.

I honestly want one, pending funds, but Springfields attitude has really put me off.

Thanks for the pics.

That says a lot right there.
Why support a company that doesn support us? Normally that's what I usually say, but it's just such a nice pistol. :)
Thanks agian Vinnie for the PM, and the info you provided through out the thread.
Good stuff.

First day at the range turned out to be a great experience. Myself and 3 other friends put approx 200rds through it with out a hitch. 2 Buddies shoot Sigs and the other a Beretta ... all were quite impressed with the XDM and its feel.

One thing that we found interesting is that we all shot left & little low @ approx 15yrds, with sights on target. I am not too concerned, since I also picked up a set of Dawson Optics with the rear sights being adjustable.

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you all know that we have room for a few more pre-orders on the export shipment of XDMs we're working on; details at this forum, page 7. Just got our export licenses approved for this first batch.

Cheers,
