My CZ858-2 chrome line is here!!

So where did you get this aftermarket chroming done? You know the CZ858 Tactical 2 is NOT chrome-lined from the factory, right?
 
They were chrome lined a couple years ago when this was new. IT came with all the stuff, it was a gently used (500 rnds) unit in mint shape.

No, they were not. The only chrome-lined 858 is the -4V restricted version with the original military barrels. Marstar had a small number of non-restricted chrome-lined CZH 2003 come in in one batch, but that's it for non-restricted, chromed VZ variants.

If your rifle is non-restricted and says CZ 858 Tactical 2 on the side, it does not have a chrome-lined bore.

IIRC, Curtton has previously posted a way of confirming chrome/no chrome but it escapes me right now. Hopefully he'll chime in.
 
Turn the gun around to see and if you mean this is a CZH2003 SPORT imported by Marstar years ago, yes this is chrome lined, if not, you got jacked.
 
For what I paid "got jacked" is not what I would say. For everything in the pic (including original box with all paperwork and accessories) it was $800 including shipping and (FRAUD ALERT) fees. Well if its not chrome (im new at this as you can tell) Ill just have to clean it more often..
 
You got a fair deal and it's a great rifle, regardless of chrome or not.

"Clean it more often" means after every use. Sometimes I skip a cleaning or two but only if I WD-40 the bore and gas block.
 
Im sort of a clean freak so yeah, it will be after every use.

i just got mine two weeks ago... what are you planing to do with it... ?
 
Well if I can find a place that sell NEA handguards for a decent price ill get rid of the wood first. Then probably a scope of some sort but im new at this so I need to read up so i dont buy a "chrome" lined scope lmao. Nice name by the way just like mine lol

GP Tactical is taking pre-orders for the full set or just the upper handguard at the new, lower prices.

Privet Dimon. I saw on EE a week ago or so, some one was selling the NEA Uppers for $100
and there was limited amount.. so hurry up.. :)
 
After looking at the price i think im going to go the fab defense route ($85 vs $285). Lots of other places I can spend that money where it would be more useful. I don't see GP tactical selling the hand grip for the fab defense hand guards for some reason tho?
