Trying to build a nice bush gun using police wood, and I am in need of a 14" 12 Gauge barrel.

Does anyboy know manufacturers, retailers, prices, etc?

Cheers!

Kevin.

I would sugest a 14 inch Norc barel.Shot 1000 rnds threw mine with no problem.
I believe Badboybeeson has some barels for sale.

Dlask has Dlask barrels.

Tactical Ordnance may have used Remington barrels.

try CanAM...that's where I got mine. Good price as well...come to think of it it was a 15". still for $160 can't go wrong.

Dlask out of BC I think. From what I know there are not cheep.

Wow, you were not kidding! $300 for a barrel! Thats more then I payed for the gun itself!

Seems like the best idea, but badboybeeson no longer has any available. I will see what can be found on the ee.

Where are they on the site? I looked but could not find barrels.

I'd buy a Norinco 870 clone shotgun complete with a 14" or 12.5" barrel rather then put a chinese barrel on a Remington.

Between the Norinco HP9 and the CanAmmo imported Dominion Arms Grizzly version, I'd go for the Grizzly model just because it's a bit more Canadian influenced and doesn't say made in China even thought it is made in China and the same gun as the Norinco...it only comes in 12.5" though and might be sold out at the moment.
$299 new.

Lot's of people here have had no issues with Chinese barrels on Remington receivers but the three I tried on 3 different receivers were all poorly indexed and the barrel was twisted noticeably.

You can buy a used HP9 on the EE for about $200

Here's what I'm talking about with regard to the index issue I noticed...this 870 has a flat milled top on the receiver and it is resting flat on the desk.
I twisted the mag cap to align the cross slot vertically and horizontally and placed the square to better show how twisted the barrel is in the receiver...

i would be willing to bet that a percentage of people who say 'the chinese barrels fit on remington receivers no problem' just havent noticed that their barrels arent indexed properly.

thanks for posting the pic which illustrates it far better than an explanation.

btw: is that a huge gap i see in the soldering between your barrel and the mag tube band?

Dang.....that'll explain why I keep missing those geese at 100 yards out. :bangHead:

I'll have to check because I still have that barrel but I think it may be a shadow or something...

Wow! That is way out!

Sourced a remington barrel with a bead site from Casey at Tac-Ord.

Picking it up this weekend, will take some pics then with it on my 870 with police wood.

Should make a nice little riot shotgun.

Ok it's been a week, where are the pics?

Any idea if he had any with rifle sights?

Here we go.

It's really a wicked little thing. It is really short, but not so short that it can not really be used for hunting and trap shooting. A compact, badass looking unit.
