Ouch, that hurts! Homemade stock or Red/Greened a stock from another action. Looks too square along cheek.

There have been Fortners modified for use in Silhouette rifle competitions.
The stock appears to be an MS stock used on the 54 and 64 MS rifles. Steelchickens.com has a number of these rifles modded for this purpose.
Many do not look like Bubba jobs.

Wow, never noticed that option. Sourcing a stock might be quite a task though.
This is pretty expensive territory for a .22LR!
I was thinking that is a pretty pricey project gun, too.
There is/was a stock in the EE for $200, I think it was.

If you can fork out a few thousand'$ for a barrel action... chances are, you'll be OK with a few more hundred'$ to have something custom inletted

True, it's the sticker shock of the action price that is holding things up!
Anschutz does sell the stocks separately so there is a way to do this project. Almost makes buying the 1827 biathlon the way to go since it includes mags plus bits.
