just wonderin what other people are using, and it's success. i have used a mojo decoy and an expedite critter and have succesfully called them in with them. just for the heads up the primos power dog works pretty good but limited to 12 sounds.

A decoy is another tool in the arsenal, and just about any decoy can serve the purpose. From just a feather hanging from a stick to a 3-D coyote decoy.

The idea is simple: fight his nose by playing the wind, play to his ears by calling, and with the decoy, play to his eyes by giving him something to look at other than you.

I have used the Whirling Woodpecker and Mojo Critter with success.

Meet Gus. Gus was inspired by a vampire movie, where the reformed vampire now hunts vampires to cleanse his soul. Well, mostly he just scares them away, but he does start fights he can't finish and messes with the heads of live, non-undead, non vampire 'yotes.

I had a thought today while at work. Though I don't hunt yotes yet myself, i got to thinking. I have heard a lot of guys in my area saying that their turkey decoys got pounced on by coyotes in the spring. Why not use a turkey decoy to draw the coyotes out this time of year?

I wouldn't because with my luck a big old tom would come struting his stuff and I would really start to question some of my hunting ethics.

Youre the first person I have come across to say something positive about the power dogg call. The reviews I have read on it are horrible and most end with don't waste your money.

ya i have had good success with it. at first i thought it wasn't loud enough but than i read an aticle "so you think your e caller isn't loud enough" well it went on saying that it is, coyotes can pick out a mouse under the snow at 100yrds. on feb 16 i used it and called in 3 yotes. and today used it again and called in another 2. but i have also had success with my hand calls. A buddy if mine just informed me that canadian tire in belleville now has coyote decoys in stock for around 60 bucks so i think i will pick one up

I went to a trapper education course and a guy talked about his predator control work. He uses a plastic yote decoy and a rabbit distress call blown by mouth. He wears a white ballaclava and carries a long knife to cut blocks of snow and build a blind to sit behind to conceal his body.
