For the close in stuff I have a custom a BSA Martini 22LR but I'd likely go with my Ruger 10/22.

And for the stuff a little further out, my old custom 'antique' Winchester Highwall in 219 Donaldson Wasp. It has a matching vintage 10X J.UNERTL scope and I've since added a Harris bipod.

One of the many 'Moose items' in my den. The highwall is a fun thing to shoot and old 219 does seem to like 50gr Hornady V-MAX.

Hey Cummins and Pharoh, if you ever want to get together, I have a place near Etzikom we can go. A little bit of a drive (for me its about 1.5 hours) but its a good day of blasting.

Sounds good! Etzikom is about half way between LA and MH IIRC. I also got permission to hunt down around Standoff, sounds great, sections of private land and loads os squeaks so I am told.

I would have to say my Silhouette gets the most use because of the volume of gophers in some areas. (SW Sask)

Here are all my Gopher guns.

CZ 452 Silhouette .22LR 4-16X40 4200

CZ 452 Varmint .17HMR 6-24X40 4200

Rem 700 SPS Varmint .204 Ruger 4.5-14X40 Mark 4 (wearing a HS stock)

Savage 10 FP, McGowen 1-8" 22-243 Middlestead, B&C stock 6.5-20X50 Mark 4

I will only use the 22-243 on special occasions because they are barrel burners. It is more my Coyote gun.
