Just to let you know, Boyd's has their black, textured finish walnut M1A stocks with hanguard on sale for $99. This price will permit them to ship to Canada. Not a bad upgrade for a Norinco.

I bought one of these a few years ago when they went on sale, and it is well worth it. You do have to make one little cut or sand to make it fit.

I already have a Pepper Laminate, but was looking at that deal as well. Just what is a "black textured finish" - is it a paint? Heck Truck Bedliner is black and textured. Do they actually apply a finish over a nice walnut stock? I've seen some walnut Biyds stocks and they are very nice.
