Just ordered my Tavor today the waiting game begins

The difference between the batches is the first ones are actually in the hands of their owners, and the second set is vaporware. Unless of course they're being shipped this week. Or is that next week? Last week maybe? No, wait...it was definitely 2 weeks ago they were shipped. That's it, everyone will have them by the 19th.

Seriously though, I asked this in one of the other (many) locked threads...in what other circumstance would you guys put up this kind of cash and quietly accept nothing but silence or deception for two months in return. You really need to start asking some serious questions, both of CanAm and yourselves, because if this wasn't actually happening I'm sure nobody would believe that people would put up with this sort of thing.

Bizarre. Very bizarre.

Pick up the phone and call them or send an email.

And what? Hope that this time they might tell you the truth? On Jan 11, 2010 I was told unequivocally they were shipping. Others responses have been: they're shipping soon, be shipped "next week", been shipped back to Israel, still in transit from Israel, some are already out and the rest will be shipped as they arrive, shipped by the 19th, waiting for paperwork then shipping and the list goes on. Obviously there have been some untruths in there, otherwise there would be quite a few ecstatic new Tavor owners out there by now, no?

And before anyone mentions how difficult it is to import and put a timeline on a shipment like this...then why does CanAm keep putting a timeline on it? Obviously CGNers are a very patient bunch and will happily wait months for a Tavor, so why do they keep stringing everyone along with these differing stories and "next week" shipping schedules and not simply say what is actually going on?

I'm not saying anything one way or the other about CanAm's motives for doing things in this manner, but this is an absolutely unreal method of dealing with your customer base that I have never seen before. And it's also unreal how firearms owners somehow think it's normal and/or acceptable and will find ways to justify such behavior.

As I said...truly bizarre.

I'm waiting with "baited breath" for the first guy OR girl to post that they HAVE a tracking # off of their online order form...

I know I keep checking my order online to see if it's been updated with my tracking #...

COME ON TRAIN!!!

Cheers
Jay

Here is to hoping that Tavors will actually ship.

Who changed this post? Was it GlebZhiglov, a moderator, or Canada Ammo... this is not what was posted originally! For what its worth I didn't give the original post much weight, because there was no evidence to support it either way.

FYI, this is CanAm's forum & it is moderated by him.

The original post by GlebZhiglov could have only been changed by GlebZhiglov very very shortly after he initially posted it, say within a min or less. Otherwise, when a post is changed, it would say @ the bottom, Last edited by _______.

Cheers

P.S. Just checked my online order again, nope, no tracking # yet... COME ON TRAIN!!!

I accidentally pasted into my post contents of a private message just before hitting submit. So I went back right away and corrected it. Nothing sinister, no conspiracy, sorry for alarming you.

To keep this thread on topic, does anyone know how large was the original shipment of Tavors in 2007, and how large is the current shipment supposed to be? in other words, how many first generation Tavors are in Canada, and how many 2nd generation Tavors are supposed to be coming?

Very valid point! I was just on their site and 3 nano-seconds away from pre-ordering. For once in my pathetic life, I actually exercised self-control and left the site before hitting "Buy Now". With the ongoing delays in shipments, that was the only thing that kept me from hitting the go-broke button.

If CanAm really did just get a shipment in, it'd sure be nice to know how many are already spoken for and how many just came in.

Again, I am very surprised by the way this situation is being handled. Also pleasantly surprised that major mud-slinging hasn't been the result. There's a lot to be said about the patience of most of the people who've ordered a Tavor to date.

Jay- you're checking Canada ammo's website for a tracking number? The whole time I've been checking my email. I'm gonna check canam's website.
