Deer - Count them!

Looks a lot like a spot in this area, no hunting just about anywhere, and one local "high class" hotel keeps feeders outside the dining room windows (it impresses the guests to see deer). Not unusual to see dozens of deer when you drive around the area in late afternoon.

I've seen deer in those numbers and more here in Manitoba. In the fields that no one is allowed to shoot them on. Sometimes a hundred or more does.

That many and Waaaay more...I've seen over 300 yarded together in SW NB at times in one of the biggest yards I know of.Going coyote calling for a couple days this week-end around some known deer yards where I'd expect to see a couple hundred deer/day at least normally?Probly not so many this trip as we're having a much needed mild winter this year after two consecutive devastating winters and the deer don't yard up so hard when it's not so harsh.

Here's a better pic
check what's in the background

The one nearest the corner of the house looks vaguely wolf-like ...but wolves don't have big black deer noses .
I see no wolves in that picture....unless they(the wolves) have upgraded from wearing sheeps' clothing:p

This is a pic of where I was mulie hunting this past fall. There were hundreds of them roaming around and none baited! This pic is only half the group as I couldn't get them all in one picture at once. Groups of 30 weren't uncommon.
