non-restricted handgun

IZH-79-9T  : No matter what some (insert offensive expletive ) clueless RCMP "tech" says about this pistol :D , it is (with rubber cartridges :p ) as non-restricted as the derri nger mentioned in the earliest posts of this thread....:yingyang:

Also  , keep this in mind  :

About 21,000 rubber bullet guns were legally purchased in Moscow last year alone, up from an average of between 15,000 and 18,000 in previous years, according to Moscow police. Of the 547,000 legal guns registered in Moscow, half are rubber bullet guns, police say.

I look forward to the day that RCMP "techs" will act in an intellectually and morally honest fashion and respect the laws/regs as they currently stand :) , rather than aggressivley and wrongly interpret the regs in partisan and unfriendly fashion....:bangHead:

Personally, I never really understood the draw to pay $1,600 plus for some old relic just for the sake of no paper.

To each their own I suppose.

Because unlike restricteds I can actually shoot my antiques anywhere I want. Did I mention I carried my webley MKII holstered in plain view while coyote hunting last week? And I was 100% legal.... I had that liberated feeling like when I skinny dip..... :D (and I'll bet almost everyone would rather see me carrying a holstered revolver than skinny dipping) ;)

I guess I just don't wear that kind of tin foil hat...:p

NAA.

You should as it will happen!! T - 40 years......just a guesstimate but the Lieberals will reagain power nationally in the future and continue on there quest to rid law abiding people of there firearms.

12(X) prohibs, additional restricteds and all out prohib guns it has happened already!

Hi All

I'm looking to buy a non-restricted handgun. Can someone point me in the right direction? I see lots listed in the exchange as 'restricted' so I guess that means there are lots of non-restricted ones. Please advise.

No, there is lots of prohibited ones.... Since not everybody has prohibited license, the fact that the gun is restricted, is very important!

I find it interesting that some one with a trader
rating of 20 on Ca gunutz woulkd not know what the firearms

Does this look like an old relic? It's DA/SA and has a swing out cylinder just like a modern S&W, plus it uses modern speedloaders. Shoots smokeless loads too.

yeah, but they have to be one shot

Single shot is for antique rifles, antique handguns can be six-shot revolvers, there is even a semi-auto handgun model or two that qualify as anitque.

That's a beauty!

How much did she run you?

Wasn't there a fellow in Red Deer who ran a business based on antique (but quite shootable) revolvers and the like? The other half of his business was marijuana paraphernalia...talk about drawing heat. I think he got busted...but I can't remember if it was for the guns or the dope :)

so how long do we have to wait for more modern guns to be antique? :p

Forever, no more new antiques. The way the law is currently written it is not based on how old a firearm is. The definition is based on a firearm manufactured prior to an arbitrary date of pre 1898 and certain no go calibers.
