The elusive 1949 Russian SKS

None taken. Satain how much would you pay for 1949 no refurbished marks? Before you give me an answer think how many of those left and that I have to jump through the hoops to get it.
No offence but for $430 for a Re-furb SKS...

Well lets just say I'll pass.

$450 to $500 with a non-frankstien pin job with all matching #'s plus the rare triangle bayonet, the looping rear reciever pin & most importantly a non-chrome lined barrel. Oh ya the stock would of course have to be hardwood due to the fact that laminate wasn't used in early production stock's. If you can find one I got the brownies in hand for ya.

One problem for this batch it will be frankpinned. As to price I will figure that one when it gets here. Price that many people suggested is 500 to 700 hundred range. I know US is not the price standard for us but on one of the auctions one of 1949 was sold at 7500 Usd. The only difference it is not pinned.

To me a 1949 refurb is just another refurb, worth around $200. Now if you had an unissued, not refurbished 1949 with all the correct parts and matching we could start talking $400-600.

one minor correction , the russian spike isnt like the chinese spike, chinese has 3 rib while the russian has 4 , its a true cruciform bayo .

Also Russian rifle imports are banned in the USA

I know Dave, I just don't want to pay extra for 1949 in original state and the sell them for 200 dollars like some people suggest. I would like to recover my money and make some profit. How many of those available on the market and who is going through headache of brining those?

Cabela imported a new batch and how much are they charging now? Plus this one is ### and black bolt. You paid a correct price of 200 for it. The ones that they have now is silver bolt. No heavy refurbishment.
Here's a couple photos of the black bolt 1950 Tula refurb I got from Cabelas in june/2009 for $199.99

I'll pay the extra no problem for a nice 1949 :D since we have not even seen one in Canada yet with a spike
