looking for a hk416

Define getting gouged?

most of the dealers pricing are with in a hundred of each other, I doubt you will find anyone will sell it below cost.

The HK416 is a full auto rifle, as stated above. However, that doesn't mean you can't have the upper.
The problem with the MR223's, is the interchangeability between other AR parts. Otherwise, i'd own one. Aside from that, they are in fact beautifully made rifles.

If you could find one, a HK 416 upper alone usually runs in the $10k + range. Like Gadget said, the HK 416 is full auto and not available to a civilian as a complete firearm. Check the links at the top of the screen, several dealers have the semiauto version (MR223). Wolverine even has a used one available.

We might be able to get some hk MR556 rifles the way things are going now. I am going to try to import one when they become available. I don't want a neutered HK MR223

checked on the availability on the hk mr556

i just got off the phone with an arms dealer out here in vancouver who will happily supply the mr556 or mr762... as much as i would love to own both i decided on the mr556 for $3800 and will have to wait to purchase the mr762.

thanks everyone here for the info, much appreciated

but here's a debate....would you purchase the mr556 or the mr762???

Personally i really don't want the interchangeability the point is mute to me for the reason being, that mixing a top tier rifle with a lesser brand is not doing anyone any justice. Why mix an older Ferrari with a new one. Unless you have a 416/417 upper then I can understand, it isn't really a big deal to me. Plus it was mostly because of German laws that it was made like that with pins being put back 6mm. But to have that option would have been nice for my MR223, I 'm on the fence right now about getting the MR308 or waiting for the US version(MR762).

Lets just scrap the entire firearms act, and all will be fine.:)

It's all personal choice man. Stuff does break, and HK parts (of the most part :)) are hard to come by.

If I was in the market, I'd much rather have the US MR556 as well.

Being able to move uppers to a preferred/favorite or specifically configured lower is nice.

So sorry for being clueless. But what is the difference between mr556 and mr223. Why is mr223 neutered?

That's a pretty good price on mr556, if you don't mind, which dealer in vancouver? I'm in the area as well, sounds very tempting!

let me ok it with the dealer first

im sure the price can be extended to other buyers, but as he is a personal friend he is giving me the best price. ill ask to make sure first then send you a pm

Just to inform, the price quoted is about the actual dealer cost, so the vendor is not doing anything for his profit on this
