Precision shooting with a factory rifle

Not to dump on you or anyone else, but forums like this and the endless petty debates about what theoretically attracts/repels participation is moot. We have to start somewhere and we did. If I have a line-up of people that refuse to cross the threshold because they can't load a magazine, well, we'll have to look at that. However, once they get involved in shooting - instead of anonymous internet debating - then perhaps they will learn why this rule exists, and can they can get involved in making things happen instead of beating them up in forums like this.

Are you kidding? I think this is a terrific idea, but as someone that's new to the precision game, I was giving you some insight into what might bug someone that's considering participating. Don't consider it beating up or petty debate, just one beginner's view - take it or leave it.

Redman, I know you only just got your first precision rifle, come on out and try F-Class!!

If I was in B.C., I'd sign up faster than Oprah could down a Big Mac, but I'm in Quebec. My long distance shooting is limited to either driving six hours to and from a military range, or shooting under power lines and praying that the provincial police doesn't catch me :(

There is no wonder why people don't want to go through all the work to get events like this honourable event going. There is always bellyachers with nothing else to do but pick apart the hard work of leaders, in the shooting game. I can speak on behalf of myself and may others, that I appreciate what Ian and his group have done, to get everyone involved in the fastest growing shooting sport, in the world.

For this year's Frosty Farky in Kamloops, the course of fire for Factory Sporter class is:
Saturday: 1 X 10 round string (with 2 sighters) at 300m, and 2 X 10 round strings (with 2 sighters each) at 500m.
Sunday: 2 X 10 round strings (with 2 sighters each) at 500m.

People with Remingtons should buy better rifles. :nest: I love my Savage LRPV .223 1:7 with 80gr SMK's and a 1.5lb trigger. :D

I don't find this statement to be Outraged, Savage Line of Rifles are know to be bit more accurate than remington, specially comparing savage model 10, 12 to rem700. I own dozens of rem700, and still have more than haft of them, but when comparing with savage 10fcp, floating bolt head, Quality Barrel, match chamber, it hard to beat, unless you spending alot more money in Tunning, Truing, re barrel, the only line that of remington that are accurate comparing with the Savage, are the rem M24 and that alot more money, but remington are Old technology, it good thing for gunsmithing, there is many after market part to replacing it, but for savage, and savage have been catching up. Trigger are nicer, stock: guy down in calgary make Aics stock for the Savage, as well as Picany rail. So it not horse s**t any more, I have both Savage and Remington, they are both cheap build, but at least savage have an edge in Accuracy and Consistent...
even when people see the different they still hesitate to believe, I encourage any one to go to the Savage website and check it out, whey are Savage shooter been winning match, not just because they are good, but also they are doing it with newer technologies, and another reason a few company in the state are copying Savage ideal to make there own, also Remington, there newer rifles also resembling the savage floating bolt head, the ideal of able to remove the barrel, bolt head to converted to another caliber (I am not sure who actually come up with the new floating bolt head, but savage have great success from it: 408 Chey Tac had floating bolt head, also there are other company in the US make there floating bolt head their rifles)

Ok, maybe Not the rem M24, but very accurate, you were the one that Knock me with some sense, why spend thausands of dollar, purchasing 400-500 match barrel, buying 1000 worth of stock, spend hundred of dollar on gunsmithing tunning the action to death, bedded, trigger, muzzle break, and go shoot it, and find out later that it better to buy a savage, That is f**king Funny!, and what more funny is that everytime a new guy come on Gunnutz had some experience with some rifles he had in the pass, and wanted to express alittle of what he know, Right away get call Horse-s**t.

And PMT: that is good work, come out and say what you believe, because I don't believe what you say is a lies or somehow Outraged like other on here, it take real character to say what they believe.
