We it's been a long time coming and my AR project is almost finished thanks to Alberta Tactical Rifle I got a barrel from them & had them install it on my upper, 11.5" DPMS heavy barrel, thing weigh a ton. I'm only missing a red dot sight & I forgot to order a washer / spacer for the dlask suppressor so I can line the thing up and lock it down. I used magpul xtm rail pieces in both FDE and Foliage green. my next thing is I'm going to color in the engraving markings so they show better that is for esthetics. If anyone had a spare Maid grip in FDE they want to swap for my left over Maid grip in Foliage green I could change the pistol grip a bit and match the rail pannels.

Gotta love those Mega receivers. They are the nicest I have seen.

Mega gator AR's got very high reviews from AR15.com I did a search on the net & didn't find one complaint about there quality they rated up there with LMT, Larue the others cool receivers. that's why I picked it. I wanted one since 2002 I have a extra frame I'm unloading see EE ----

As for ATR I gave them the stripped upper, stag bolt w/carrier & Mega charging handle and they supplied the small parts as well as the barrel & gas tube and slapped it together, was about $70 labour + parts. I let them build it as they had the parts I needed anyways. Note: the mega receiver logo is also stamped on the top of the charging handle.

There is only one other receiver I've seen that I like more. Also made by Mega Machine shops for another company called Red River tactical they have a very cool reciever, upper & charging handle with cool markings.

let me tell you I'm into this build for over $1800. so I think if you can buy one for $1200. you are doing very good. a good start might be a Remington R15 for under $1200. yes it's camo but you get a new gun & you can swap out the parts you don't like.
