Just ordered my Tavor today the waiting game begins

Blaxsun, your Tavor looks very nice with the DR! But where is the MAG!?

You can buy night sights and get the vials that way. I used CLEAR nail polish to seal them, worked like a charm.

Refer to Canam's "The Tavor" post from 2 years ago. I posted pictures of what I did very close to the end of the thread.
I cut a very small notch, just big enough for the tail cap to go into the handgaurd. Which connected to the pressure switch of the Tavor, located on the left hand side.

Edit, here you go;

He he I came back to post the thread and just noticed you found it :)

How are you using that button on the Tavor ?? is the surefire using a pressure pad wedged in behind the button ?? did you trim the button ??

Inquiring minds need to know :)

Sorry man.
You push it with your thumb. :) Yes, the surefire has a pressure pad, that's wedged. You can do the same with a laser, but what's the point? Nope, it takes a second to take out, and put right back in spot. (Once the handgaurd is off.)

Thanks for answering my question diehrea.

I took the handguard off thinking that that's what it was for, but then I couldn't see how to fit the pressure pad in there, cus there is no room behind the button. Then I saw you post about this and it has me wondering how to fit that pad in there. Right now I have a light mounted but I just double sided stickied it on the Tavor frame.

Is this switch a propriotary switch from IWI ??

I am thinking to just shave down the backside of the botton and install the pressure pad behind it.

By the way thanks for the Tavor, a bit painful in the waiting but a very nice firearm, oh and I love the "wrapping" material :p from the shipping box.

To my amazment my GF thought the rifle looked really cool and likes the look of the Mepro....:)

Perhaps on the new models of Tavors you need to take the round button out, not on the 1st gens. Your pressure switch might be thicker then mine, as well.

Maybe i'll make a video "how to" soon.
Chris, will you guys be producing a barrel wrench soon? Nothing is listed on the website.

No, IWI does not allow us to sell barrel wrenches. They are considered an armourers tool only. And are only provided with the armourers tool kit, to trained armourers. We leave it to the aftermarket.

Guys....Don't overlook the storage compartment in the pistol grip (note two small buttons to indent in order to release the bottom).

Gonna see if the cleaning kit fits in there.....

Very good point! I overlooked mine for almost a year. It now has CRV123A's, punch, and some cheap earplugs, JIC.

I am going to cut my pistol grip off and install a Magpul.........just kidding....maybe!!

I noticed that piece in the grip, good to know it can be used for storage, also in the butt when you open it there is a storage compartment also.

Pic of what my setup will look like, substitute the ARMS for a ADM, notice the Mag and holes in my shows (one has to have priorities)
