On Friday I picked up this little guy after waiting for the CFO to reclassify and approve the transfer... Its a Llama Especial 1911 in 22LR... basically a mini 1911... I think it is my new favorite gun... it was an impulse buy from epps... big ups to Dave for selling it too me :) and Doug for making the barrel and doing the CFO stuff...
I am normal not a "look at my gun" thread starter... but its just sooo cool!

sorry for the focus... I realized after that my focus was off... narrow DOF...
 
I think Doug made the barrel the length he did because of an existing FRT... how do you like the thing?... what kind of ammo does it like? is it picky... Its the coolest gun i own... soo pleased with it... (if you couldn't tell)

Nice that you have one as restricted. They are a fun little gun.

Hard to tell, but it looks like your gun has a steel frame. Some of them came with alloy frames and were not as durable.

Note that if you are firing lots of high velocity ammo, make sure your recoil spring is up to the task, or better yet, just replace it. Otherwise it will tend to batter the gun. Weak springs caused some of the alloy frames to crack above/behind the trigger.
 
So I took this gun for a shoot... its a great little toy... its soo much fun...
it ate up about 60 rounds no problem... at the end it started getting jammed, missfed ect... i think it was just dirty... cleaned her up and put her in the safe... now only if i had some free time to go shoot...
 
What calibre is it??

Really neat looking little 1911 you have there. I'm impressed.
