Funny Quote from LaRue

(...)getting LaRue products in Canada means either exporting them yourself, or paying a large premium.

"I want it, but I can't get it, so it must suck" mentality.(...)

FabSport carries some of LaRue mounts, so not like they are unobtanium, as long as you have credit card in hand.

Pretty much this.

Seems like people get upset because LaRue won't bend over backwards and do an export for them... which neither will Magpul or anyone else. If you want the stuff, either be less lazy, or pay what whoever has it already here wants.

Just my 2cents

Yawn... Larue. Marky-mark and his witticisms.

I'm with Clobbersaurus on the subject of Larue. No butt hurt, just couldn't really care less. I own some of his stuff and it is good, just not drinking the kool-aid like some of his acolytes here. Better value to be had elsewhere.

I am looking for a flip to side quick detach mount for Aimpoint 3x magnifier. What would you recommend?

Also, looking for something that could be used to raise an EOTech up a bit, so that Troy BUIS won't be smack in the middle but in the lower 3rd of the EOTech viewport. What would you recommend?

Could you share your thoughts regarding who makes and where in Canada one can find a decent QD mount for Aimpoint micro T1? Would be nice if it's angled to the side, so that T1 could be used as BUIS together with the Nightforce. Alternatively, where can I find a mount to mount micro T1 on top of an ACOG?

ADM for one, carried by several dealers in Canada.

For the record, I freely admit that I have a throbbing errection for LaRue products. But I agree that the quote wasn't funny.

I guess if you are talking the inflated prices up here , sure. If you are talking in his home turf of USA , Larue is one of the best values

Example : LT-150 $115

The rest of these prices are from Brownells website

ARMS #22M68 $119 . I have two, much prefer the Larue or AMD. Nice that you can add spacer ( full / half / cantilever )

AMD 68 $119 . I think this is best choice for us Canadians

GG&G ...starts at $165 . Had one, nothing to write home about

Wilcox Comp M $159. Had one. Other than being able to say its Military Issue, I much prefer the AMD or Larue

Aimpoint QRP - $112 . OK Mount, but for the same price I would go AMD and Larue. Don't like the spacer

As far as the flip to side mount ....Larue is the better value. The other flip mount is the Samson . Its over $200 from Brownells and has a ARMS base. You can buy the Larue of $150 down there. I do like the Samson that it makes use of the 4 holes in the base of Aimpoint magnifier ( vs having to cut the armour sleeve with the Larue ). I prefer flip to RHS. With the Samson, the release is on the LHS . With the Larue, its much easier ( less fumbling to grab magnifier and flip ) with EITHER hand
