So my ATT finally showed up last night and i finally got to try out my long awaited 18th bday gift :D. One problem i noticed though is that the gun is shooting high . With 124 grain Wold TMJ and with my home loads, one of the more experienced shooters at my club gave it a try and he had the same results. So my question is, is there anything i can do about this or will it work it self out once its broken in? Its has fixed sights to ajusting for height is out of the question.

umm 7 and ten yards and i was aiming dead center, and i havent tried any facotry ammo, wolf was the only thing close to factory ammo and it was high. Its not me from what i can tell, i shoot a g17 dead on with 2.5" groups at the same distance.

Aim just below the point of desired impact.

if you have this pistol only, get use to his '''manners'''.

if you have many pistol, i suggest you should put adjustable LPA rear sight from CZ usa. that way, point of aim=point of hit .

hmm i have a few and more will be on the way eventually, ill look into that rear sight, just have to see if that would interfere with using it in IDPA.

If you're shooting a lot at the 7 to 20 yard distances that are quite typical of the match that I've shot in over the past year I'd suggest getting a taller front sight and file it down a little at a time until you're tuned for around 12 to 15 yards. You don't need to put up with having to aim low.

The other thought would be to carefully file off some metal from the top of the rear sight to lower the POI. But with the combat sights being so short already my own feeling is that I'd rather get a taller front.

Switch to 147 grain bullets, this should lower velocity and therefore your bullets should land lower on the target given the same sight picture.

Over the sort of distances we're looking at the difference would be neglibable and certainly not in the 3 inch range of difference.

Not to mention that there's also the risk that because the bullets spend longer in the barrel while the gun is recoiling and lifting the muzzle the final trajectory may well end up lofting the heavier bullets higher as they leave the muzzle. Meanwhile lighter bullets will exit sooner before the muzzle lifts as far.

Aim just below the point of desired impact.

most combat pistols are not sighted in this way, most are sighted in for a Drive the Dots sight picture. Meaning your bullet impacts will fall directly behind your front sight. In a perfect world, if you shot perfect, you wouldn't be able to see your hit after the shot as the front sight would obscure it. It's possible that CZ may be one of the only manufacturers that don't sight in this way, as my Shadow also shoots high. Which is why I ordered a new front sight for it from Angus. If I was a bullseye shooter the above sight alignment might be what I used, but for the casual plinker to action pistol shooter, that alignment style is not the standard.

I don't disagree with you. My 75b shoots pretty much point of Aim. Just offering a way around it.

IDPA allows you to change sights. The only provision is they must be notch and post style. No Ghost rings. Putting an adjustable rear sight on the CZ75B would be OK.

Slavex what was the height of your new front sight. My Shadow shoots about an inch high at 10 yards. I should get an order in to Ghost as well.

Take Care
