Ok guys, we all know that, in Canada, after sale service from almost all guns manufacturers is close to nonexistent. So i am not looking for coments like: "buy X or Y guns because i have one and i like it" but rather, i want to hear about people who actually had an issue with their pistol and how it turned out.

I am currently looking for a new 9mm pistol. I Already have a Glock 17 and i once had a Sig P226 (sold it because the grip was too thick for my hands) I have also fired a 92FS and a CZ 85 and love those 2.

I love Glock pistols because, exept for the major part like the frame and slide, i can change all parts by myself and they cost close to nothing. What about other make like S&W, CZ, Sig, Beretta, HK, etc...

Lets talk about problems and solutions...

Fine for the parts, but is the average joe like me is able to detail strip and reassemble a 92FS or a CZ 75 for exmple??

you want simple and easy to modify, 1911 is as easy as easy gets.
the market is flooded with parts

And with the spartan from sti soon coming in 9mil I think you will be happy to find quality at a good price sub 1000$ range after taxes, yes even after the TVQ (altough I don't think anyone in the province will distribute em ;))

Buy from Gunner at Armco and you're buying from a smith who will fix what he sells

Yes but that means sending the pistol across the contry and loose it for weeks. Also when it is out of warranty, one have to pay big bucks to get it fixed.

Oh Man there are tons of youtube video show you how to do that. I am a bloody stone cave man but able to detail strip a 2245 while back. haven't try my Glock yet but it should be very easy.

+1

STI Trojan or STI Spartan [via Armco] would be the way I'd go.

M&P40 - version N - mags were dropping - asked here on CGN who does S&W Warranty. MD-Charlton was named within an hour, called MD-Charlton - they gave me 2 choices. Send my pistol, they will install new mag release, clean, inspect, and send back. Or, charge my CC 12 bucks or so for the part with shipping. I chose the 12 buck route. Part was sentand received within 6-7 days. New mag release works perfectly, no more dropping mags.

Overall Experience, 9/10. MDCharlton emailed me back right away everytime.
