ZEV Tech Titanium Pin Kit $19.95 www.glockwarehouse.com

ZEV Tech Titanium Pin Kit includes a Ti Trigger Pin, a Ti Locking Block Pin, and a Ti Ejector Housing Pin. Pins are dimensioned properly so they will not creep out of the frame and will outlast the life of your frame. Pins are Titanium silver in color.

This is something that I just found and love. For anyone who disassembles there Glocks a lot this is a must have. These pins will not dent like the OE ones, the wont bend, they wont wear down.
If you detail strip your Glock often this is a good mod to look into as your OE pins will wear out after some time and it costs about the same to get titanium ones. Oh, and there lighter too.

One thing I hate about these pins is there silver. I wish they came in a black finish but they are functional so I like them .

Tungsten Guide Rod $49.95 www.glockstore.com

Now you can add the extra weight of a Tungsten guide rod to your Glock and help control muzzle flip. It makes a lot of sense and it really works. Plus, the weight feels good in your hands and I guarantee you will shoot tighter double tap groups. Made to exact specifications to simply drop in your gun...no gunsmithing required!

Factory weight spring is included and captured on the Tungsten Guide Rod as pictured. You simply drop it in and replace the factory plastic rod in seconds!

Weighs 1.6 Ounces (45.36 grams)
25% heavier than the Stainless Steel Assemblies

This is another mod that I do to all of my Glock's with good results. There are a few benifits to running this kind of recoil rod in your Glocks.
1) It adds weight under the barrel, where you need it. This helps to fight muzzle climb when shooting and makes for a faster follow up shot.
2) It is not a captive spring, you can change out different weight springs to suit your needs.
3) It will last virtually forever

I have managed to damage 2 OE recoil spring guides in my time with my Glock's and it led me to get these bad boys. You cant go wrong with this style of recoil guide rod system.

As for all the modifications I have preformed to all of my Glock's they have remained 100% reliable. I have never once had a stove pipe, miss feed, mis fire, light primer hit, or any other malfunction. If I do find that any of the modifications cause a function problem I will note it under the part.

Next on the list of mods is some Heinie Straight 8 QWIK Slant Pro sights, ZEV Tech Ultimate trigger and a few other goodies.
I will also throw up some of the other mods that I have done to my Glock 22C soon.

Third gun down is what a stripped down KPOS Glock Carbine conversion kit looks like with a G35 in it.
The KPOS has a set of YHM folding BUIS and a co-witnessed T1 clone red dot mounted on the top rail,
and an Insight light mounted on the bottom rail.

I stripped off the original KPOS sling, the folding front vertical grip, the two side rails, and the [ sort of ] compensator/muzzle brake receiver extension.

The G35 is basically stock except for a switch to a crisper 5.5 lb trigger spring from the original lighter but mushier 3 lb spring, a mercury filled guide rod, and a 9 MM conversion barrel.
Set up as a pistol, two hand Weaver stance, with Win 125 Gr HPs, it shoots about 2" groups @ 25 yds, .

Since I shoot the G35 in .357 SIG, 9MM, and .40 S&W,
the one upgrade I really want is a set of ADJUSTABLE NIGHT SIGHTS.

timoram, this is a great thread you have. I just purchased a Glock 17 and will be modifying it as well albiet not as much as you have. I noticed you installed a Glockmeister back strap channel plug to your test Glock 19 and would like to suggest trying the Scherer Slug Plug. It's an angled plug that sticks out a little bit from the bottom of the handle and I've read reviews saying it helps slightly with reloads. While I personally haven't tried it myself, I figure since most of your mods are practical in nature, why not add a little bit more utility to your back strap plug? At $8.99 USD and available at a lot of Glock parts dealers online, it wouldn't be an expensive addition either.

Nice kit. Have you heard of the Magloc recoil control thumbrest and magwells. I found the thumb rest gave you the feel of the 1911 beavertail and safety lever. I found with this thing installed with the pin in the heel of the grip allows a higher grip and a nice place to put your thumb. I found that my 17 did not snap up using this item. Check out smartlock.com. It's a Canadian company as well

I will look into that. I have run a full Dawson Precision 6.7oz Mag Well on my Glock 22C and it works AMAZING. The extra weight and the easier speed loading are awesome. I imagine that this will be an ongoing thing as I plan on testing out a variety of different products with the Glocks and see how each of them differs.
I will get one of these plugs you referred to on my next order and see how it pans out. So far I have been range testing each of these parts as well as in conjunction with the other parts to see how they work. So far nothing but good to say except for the JP mag release (to big IMO)
Thanks for the idea. :)

Just placed an order for one. Thanks for the idea.
These kinds of products are why I love the Glock design so much. It may not fit everyone out of the box but there are so many products to taylor this pistol to your needs there is no end (except when the bank account dries up :p).
Thanks for the suggestion, I will do a little review of this once I get it in the mail.

Best Regards,
Tim

Hey, Awesome thread guys!!! My glock was collecting dust for quite awhile until I came across this thread. You have created a monster. I spent a few bucks...

http://www.glockwarehouse.com/Fulcrum_Drop_In_Kit_p/zt-ful-drp.htm
http://www.glockwarehouse.com/ZT_Ti_Pin_Kit_p/zt-pin-kit.htm
http://www.glockwarehouse.com/product_p/zt-fps-ti.htm
http://www.glockwarehouse.com/product_p/zt-sll.htm

It cost $10 for shipping and a surprise at the door of $22.60 COD.
I just put it all together last night... I've got to tell you its like a new gun! Well worth every penny to me, Rather than collecting dust its the favorite new toy. No sloppy, creepy, tupperware crap... it really does feel like a fancypants 1911. Even my chick that shoots on occasion (yuk guns are dirty, why can't it be pink, what do you mean i cant wear heels at the range) noticed the difference immediately "night and day". The pins and trigger are a taste full addition to the look and no where near the P-Diddy clown suit I worried it might be.

No range time yet, but I have every confidence its a winner.

I came across a video by AGI called Rock your glock. Every glock owner has to see this video! I had to watch it at 1.5x because the guy that puts it on is no Tom Hanks but exactly the guy you want to work on your glock. Grab that video load up on redbull and you will have every confidence to do anything you dream to your glock.

One problem. I recieved a half empty bag with "extended slide lock" written on the side. They sent the spring only... No slide lock. I have sent off an e-mail to the company we'll see how they handle it.

I now find myself seriously looking at other go fast parts for my toy, its like a disease. What started with cleaning up my trigger pull might end up a complete change-out. The girl is even on me about her own pink slide.

If your sitting on the fence about your glock pimping career. I'll be shooting at EESA this year. Your welcome to try er out, I guarantee you will be infected.

Glock modifications thread...

As I did for the 1911's I'm making this thread a sticky so it will sit at the top of the page.

NAA.

where else can i get the recoil buffer? i'm only likely to do the grip plug and recoil buffer, but seems nuts to pay $15 in shipping for $20 of parts (from glockstore). i didn't see any at glockparts (unless they're called something completely different)

A lot of good information in this thread, decent pics, good work Tim.

Though I don't think I'll be running out to get these things.

Glock parts

I tried to order for my glock 17 a wolf competition spring kits and 3.5 compound conector from glockstore.com and this is what they told me..

We regret to inform our foreign customers that our ability to ship gun accessories internationally has been suspended indefinitely. US Customs had just informed us recently that we cannot ship gun parts outside of the US and we must comply due to strict federal guidelines; unfortunately, there is no estimated time frame when we will be able to resume shipping internationally. We apologize for the inconvenience. from glockstore.com

any Idea where can I get it here in Canada? I see 3.5 connector but could not find springs..

A lot of CGN sponsors carry Glock parts. Questar, The Shooting Edge, etc.

Lone Wolf Distributor (www.lonewolfdist.com) has some Canadian resellers as well.
