best target barrel for 10/22

Who do you believe makes the best stainless fluted 22lr target barrel for the price for a 10/22?

I've also had my best results from Green Mountian barrels. I have also had good results with a plain bull barrel from Butler Creek. Its not as accurate but we are not talking about much difference. The nice thing about the BC barrel is that it would eject an unfired round.

Many 1000s of rounds later my fluted Butler Creek is still grouping amazingly. I have no issues with buying another in the future.

Lilja is not fluted, but it has produced the best groups that I have seen with a 10/22 at 50 metres. So a big plus one for Lilja as a target barrel.

I picked a HB fluted Green Mountain and went from shooting 2.5" groups to about 1/2" at 75 yards. Great barrels but can be tough to locate at times. You can get them from Bits and Pieces in B.C

There's a lot of nice SS fluted target barrels out there, but best bang for the buck has got to be Green Mountain.

Your right you can have almost any barrel fluted when ordering, and also pay about $700 by the time it is at your door in Canada.

Right on!! Got to love when that happens and in Canada with the 10/22.....not very often

don't want to hijack the thread but would suggest you look closely at the thompson center r-55 all weather semi auto that is currently available in Canada, it has a match grade stainless heavy barrel made by shillen i think and can be had new for just over $500 new right now. Heck of a deal

I ordered a Shilen from mysticplayer. No flutes and a little expensive but it should be.... or it better be one he11 of a barrel.
