Savage 4C Scope Mount

Here's what your looking for. I think it was made by Weaver, the only marking on it is
"N2" which I assume is the part #. Also, this mount will only fit a 3/4" diameter scope. This one is mounted on my model 4C which I am in the process of reblueing. You might try Western gun parts. Good luck

Depending on the age of the rifle, it may not be D&T for a side mount either.
Mine was, and the weaver #2 mount for 1" didn't line the scope and barrel up correctly.
The weaver n3 lined up pretty well and seems to work fine.

Rifle is in the process of being 'fixed up.'

Well I'm told by a reliable source that the weaver No 2 Base (Part No: 48402) will fit on the Savage 4C. It's a early 70s model, I think, and is definitly factory drilled and tapped for a side mount. Weaver 1" detachable side mount rings (Part No: 49350) work with this base so I should be able to toss a 1" scope on it.

I bought these items at wholesale this morning (51 bucks!!!!) and will try and put them on by the end of the week. I'll let you know if they work.

Oh it'll go on the rifle, but if it's like mine, the scope won't center over the barrel and will interfere with the bolt handle.
Sorry for being a downer. On the bright side, I seem to be the only one who had the problem.

While this thread is here, anyone know how to take the bolt apart?
