I wonder if is worth to buy two Chinese military SKS one to be a shooter and one to keep as unissued unfired

The Chinese military will increase in value as unissued, unfired in the future?

If it was a Sino-Soviet,/26\ stamped,or Security Forces marked it would have a better chance at becoming a collector. As for these last ones to come in,anything can happen. But is very doubtful in the next while. They are just plain jane PLA rifles nothing exciting about them. I guess you could put a threaded and a pinned barrel from /306\ away for the future.

Thanks for info

you can always collect the Chinese by Factory code

The Chinese have quite a few collector grade guns to look for.
Sino with letter and serial example X0381 then triangle factory 26 code after serial number this is a first off the line specimin with Russian supplied parts

any flat blade (russian supplied bayonets( ONLY ON FACTORY triangle 26 GUNS) found up to 9 million serial range.

Sheet metal receiver guns 3 factory codes are known rectangle 0138, 0144, 0145.

Vietnam era M21 marked guns serial numbers start with No (for number)

security forces marked guns several factory codes marked with 2 chinese characters on right side of receiver

last of Factory triangle 26 code manufactured in 80s with phenolic top hand guard simular to select fire Type 63 design.

Egyptian surplus Chinese factory triangle 26 rebuilt in Egypt by Russians some will have Russian parts and laminated stocks painted black like the ak and were imported many years back by Century

over 150 possable factory codes (just as interesting as Mauser 98k when it comes to factory codes) triangle, rectangle, oval, letter factory codes

remember just because the sks comes in to your gun shops in quantity it does not mean these guns will not be worth allot more as they become collectable and they all will. Here in the US they started as low as 69.99 and now are in the 300. 350. range bubba will be sure and destroy allot of them for collectability so think about the future if you are a collector. and try hard to get that franken pinning law removed.

the early M21

the Chinese wanting to sell or give as aid weapons to other counties developed a series of weapons for export that did not show origin. The M21 was the sks the M22 was the ak and the M20 (i think) was thew tokarev pistol these guns were found in Vietnam. The M21 had a serial number staring with No_ and serial number the later M21 receivers found in the recent imports to the US had M21 0296 or M21 and 416 still a collectable gun but not as collectable as the originalones of the Vietnam era.

a serial number from the original Vietnam era would be No 801408 or 9 million range also for all of the imports to the US if you see a prefix or suffix on the aserial number these were used as control for imports so they would know when they cam in usueally the stamped letters are very differant than the factory ones and at times stamped over the serial number I have see A- at least M used these were done on US imports and may not be on Canadian ones

is this the factory 26 marking?

Anything other than a /26\ I consider a blaster for Chinese SKS. Buy a Chinese one for sheer volume of milsurp ammo, get Russian,Yugo, /26\, etc for collecting and hoarding.

Can't wait to get a $69 Chinese SKS from Marstar that everyone is talking about! ;)
