PWS-EBT

The PWS Enhanced Buffer Tube is the first major upgrade and improvement to the buffer tube in years! This one piece billet buffer tube is CNC machined out of solid 7075 aluminum in order to gain lightweight strength and reliability.

The most notable features on this buffer tube include:
  • One piece construction eliminating the castle nut and ensuring that when installed, the buffer tube cannot become loose.
  • Attachment system automatically indexes the buffer tube perfectly straight.
  • The bottom of the interior buffer tube extends a lip into the receiver, supporting the bottom rear of the bolt carrier, counteracting the carrier tilt present in some piston systems.
  • Two QD sling swivel attachments are machined into the front of the buffer tube allowing ambidextrous connection of your QD slings.
  • The buffer tube is fluted to allow debris to be pushed out of the way, and a drain hole has been placed in the bottom of the tube, allowing for draining of water when the rifle is parallel to the ground.
  • A dead blow buffer is securely installed in the rear of the buffer tube to reduce carrier speed by an average of 10%, and dramatically reduce felt recoil.

The #40™L-SP utilizes A.R.M.S. same plane aperture system. This aperture set allows the operator to choose between large and small apertures without worrying about them being zeroed to different ranges.

ARMS-40L-P
arms-40l-p_2.jpg

Designed for U.S. Special Operations Forces and under contract with Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center. The P stands for precision...

.50 moa = minute of angle, means at 100 meters, each click of the windage knob moves the apertures .50 = 1/2 inch, which means point of impact .50 left or right of the previous click setting.

PWS Diablo 7.62x39 upper - will you stock magazines to support the retail of this item?

Thanks,
Jeff

Yes, we're working on getting some 7.62x39 magazines from CProducts but we want them to be clearly marked as 7.62x39. The samples we received don't have any markings on them... this is a potential issue since they will hold .223/5.56 ammo and at a glance don't really look any different. Our concern is that some customer will be stopped while in possession of these magazines and an "untrained" person could easily confuse them for high capacity .223/5.56 magazines and lay criminal charges/seize the items... and all of the ensuing headaches that would flow from there.

To avoid all of that we've asked CProducts to identify clearly the 7.62x39 magazines so we don't have issues with CBSA and so customers don't have issues with law enforcement.

I'm hoping to see product for sale within 60 days but that's just a guess right now.

Mark, any news on shorter barrels for the Scar16S?

Nothing at this time but there is no problem for us to get shorter barrels made... right now that's not a priority so honestly I don't expect to see shorter barrels any time soon.

Frankly our priority is getting the FRT# issued and getting delivery of reasonable quantities of guns to fill current orders. We already have the longer barrels in the works (have been working on these for several months already) so timing there is good.

Once we've filled current orders and started delivering non-restricted versions (and barrels) we'll look at things like shorter barrel options, etc..

Are the SCAR's going to be in black, or FDE?

As shown on our website, orders can be placed for either Black or FDE (there's a drop down menu you select from)... you will get the colour you order but obviously will have to wait for that colour to arrive and for your name to come up on the list.

We have both versions/colours on order with FN... but, we have no control over what they ship to us or in what order they ship them or what quantity they send each time... so as they arrive we will fill pre-orders in sequence.

Of course we can't do anything until RCMP issue the FRT # for registration.

The first unit we received was a Black one as shown in the photo's.

Hi Mark,

If we already preordered a while back can we ask to wait for the longer non res barrels or change our mind on the colour? I originally asked for the FDE but I think I like the black better. Or since these are supposed to be multi caliber is it easy to switch the barrel out after for a longer one and just have a verifier verify that it is now a non res?

As well any plans to bring in the Bushmaster ACR?

You can change your order (from FDE to Black) but any change will mean that your previous position in the order sequence would be lost and your "new" order goes to the bottom of the line... this means you'll be waiting longer for your gun (in all likelihood). We really don't know what colour will arrive in each shipment or in what order, so we can't say for sure if changing colour now will result in a delay of your delivery but there is a good chance that would be the case.

We are not yet taking any orders for the extended barrel and have not offered an extended barrel version of the gun for sale yet. When we do those will be separate items. Initially we'll offer the 470mm barrel for sale on it's own... followed by offering non-restricted versions of the gun... but at this time not taking orders for those items... not yet.

Right now we have no plans for any Bushmaster products.
