What cases are you guys using for transporting your ARs? I'm looking for one which can hold 2 AR's along with mags, ammo, misc parts etc. Any recommendations? Pics of your setups would be great!

I bought one from marstar, holds 6 mags, strong durable construction, zippered with locking ability....all for about $50 I think

Pelican all the way, pelican all the way---Oh i said that already, anyway @ $300. buys you one of the best cases in the world to transport a pair of $3500.ea. toys ,water tight and airport approved, can't go wrong there

I have a starlight case for schlupping my long guns around. I have a pelican for schluping my Pistols around.

IMHO you get what you pay for....except in this particular scenario..... Starlight or pelican are about on par with each other as far as build quality and length of use.

Just FYI, when the USMC was looking for cases to haul around sniper equipment (including rifles) they did some trials, the cases they were testing had to endure being run over by an Abrams tank and dropped from a height of 100' (from a Chopper no less).

Both Pelican and the Starlight cases were the only ones that passed the trials. The Marines chose Starlight as they were a little cheaper than Pelican.

It's not the reason I chose a Starlight case for my rifles, I chose a Starlight as it was over $100 cheaper than the Pelican case, $356 taxes in if memory serves. I bought mine locally from a wholesaler.

Cheers!

A Pelican 1700 if its going to be banged about (airports, back of vans, buried at the bottom of a swamp(lol), etc.). As much protection as security. Completely water tight with an air equalization valve. I probably would have gone with a UK Starlight had my retailer had them in stock as I believe they are of equal quality but more reasonable in cost.

If its just a trip from the safe to the range in the backseat of the jeep then a 5.11 Tactical 36" Soft Case (AR15 / M4). Good storage, padding, heavy zippers. I've hooked an extra 8 mags to the molle so it's handy that way. I believe there are longer options as well as double carbine storage options availible.

There is a video in the above link that gives a good description of the bag.

I should note that I run a 11.5". These cases may be a bit short if your running a longer barrel or non-collapable stock.

I bought two - the 38" and the 52". The 38" was under $200 SHIPPED, and the 52" was about $225 shipped. Taxes in! From underwaterkinetics.com about two years ago.

Get the ones with the wheel kits - both mine have them are are AWESOME!

I like the latches on Storm cases better than the ones on the Pelican cases. When I fly it is Storm or Pelican Cases, when driving I built an aluminum case that just fits 5 mags and a 20" scoped AR when seperated (it fits in the trunk of my car, out of sight out of mind).
