Is the SCAR available to civilians in the US yet? If so, what are they going for there? Any estimates what a Canadian price would be?

Questar has some Scar-16s coming in at they are saying $3499.99 restricted if it passes through all the hoops.

Awesome! I don't see any reason why they couldn't be classified as non-restricted with a new barrel? I wonder if they have plans for that? It would probably be a bigger seller that way.

Actually I just found a thread by Questar in the dealer forums looks like they are working on it! A non-restricted version would be really tempting....but that is a lot of money.

Only fault i can find on the XCR is the extractor. Mine came flying out of the ejection port. Other than that it seems like a solid, reliable gun.

I would guess I could use it lightly for a year and get pretty much the same back out of it. I don't know if you can say that about the XCR. Tavor, yes.

Because the SKS is an old proven bulletproof design.

The new XCR has quirks.
