FN Scar

I'd imagine Questar could get a new barrel for you at some point - then you would need to get it verified, then re-registered as non-restricted. But all of that is a little pre-mature - I believe the RCMP is reviewing the SCAR for classification right now.

On what basis is the RCMP reviewing the classification? Or is it the typical "scary black gun" re-classification- I can not imagine that they can call it a variant of something restricted or prohib by name...

I just cant get over the awful barrel to sight relationship of that gun. Am sorry am a huge SCAR poo pooer lol

First time in Country needs to get reviewed by RCMP.

March 16, 2010...
SCAR 16s Update... we finally received our first SCAR 16s here in Canada and must say it looks VERY nice. RCMP have requested that we submit this unit for physical examination before they will issue an FRT Classification so we are complying with that request and must wait for them to issue the FRT # before we can even register this unit we have in hand.
FN has confirmed that they are still shipping the SCAR 16s in VERY limited quantities and we expect this to continue for the next 60 to 90 days... but we have been assured that quantity shipments will be ramped up by May/June and that all current backorders will be cleared up by then... so if you have already placed your pre-order with us we are expecting to be able to fill your order by May/June (depending on how fast RCMP issue the FRT# for registration and transfers).
Now the best news of all... with the new pricing we were able to negotiate at SHOT we have been able to bring the price down to $3,499.99 (from the original estimate of $3,999.99)... all orders that were previously booked have been adjusted to reflect this reduction and you'll be getting an email with your revised Sales Order shortly.
We've also put the SCAR 16s back up on the website so that anyone who's interested can pre-order... just $100 Deposit will hold your spot.... click here
