Hey guys.... Can someone please help me come up with a price for a S&W 625, with a 5" barrel? :)

I bought this gal new sometime in the early '90s. I put on a nice set of wood grips and took it to a gunsmith and had a trigger job done, bought a extended cylinder release... and then proceeded to shoot about 1/2 a dozen full moon clips through her. I think that after sitting about 20 years in my safe it is time to send her off to a good home, someone that will use her.

I am a colt auto guy... the Smith just didn't feel right to me.... ;)

Nice gun there. If I didn't already have one I'd be buying it from you. That one's definitely more collectable then the new ones with the trigger locks, although those 625's are just so much fun to shoot most people would be buying them as a shooter anyway.

Mine doesn't bother me, (silly locky thingy i mean) and i've never been fussy on the "model of 1989" bit, but very nice piece. Like the grips as well, i put a set of houge hardwoods on mine, but i'd like a set like that.

8-900 would definetly be the range

S&W’s 625 revolver has become a narrow market as autos have mostly displaced it. S&W don’t sell alot of these either, especially here. Plus many shooters have gone over to the dark side, aka, 9mm.
Given the condition you mentioned, its still worth C$900.00-$1150.00. It has become a niche market….. I owned a 4” model & enjoyed it, but, moon clips, 6 shots…..

They are not all that common, and buying new, I think they are in the $1300 range after taxes.
With that in mind $900 is on the low end - I would start around $1100 imho.
Guys wanting to compete with them in IDPA are probably the largest target market, followed by pistol aficionados that just want a cool and somewhat unique wheel gun.
