300 WSM in AICS .308 mags?

Basically the title says it all. Do the AICS .308 magazines accept .300 WSM rounds? The COAL is within range, how about the "girth" of the cartridge?
 
Not sure about the AI mags but, I used a HS system (308) for a 300 WSM and all I had to do was bend the lips out so that it would feed. Took some fiddlin but worked fine. Can't see how it would be any different. Good luck.
 
I've been asking a few retailers if their bottom metal will work using AI 308 mags for WSM cartridges and they all say yes with some slight tweaking. One guy said to remove the plastic filler at the front of the mag but most said that the feed lips need to be tweaked. I have tried to put the rounds in the mag and they go in fine. I'll have all the pieces soon for my build, so I should find out for sure in the near future, and I can let you know.
 
^^ I'm fairly certain Seekins will not ship to Canada.. :(

I use a 308 AI mag in my 7WSM. After slight tweaking, it feeds 4 rounds smoothly. Any decent gunsmith or even DIY can set you up. OAL is restricted though.

you can get seekings bottom metal through Robertson composites I believe and ATR aswell I think.
 
If you're spinning on a new barrel just get your gunsmith to ream it with less feebore that way your bullets don't have to be so long to touch the lands. NO FACTORY AMMO!
