Norinco upgrade?

Hi guru's

I have a middle of the road Norinco bolt action .22 that I think is a knock-off of a Anchutz model. It is nothing special in most regards but I found it pretty accurate at 20 meters or so with the Anchutz target sights on it. I then bought a new CZ .22 for the wife recently... and what I thought was 'accurate' was misdirected ....

What can i do to tweak this el cheapo Norinco .22? is a new barrel worth the effort?

Free float the barrel and glass bed the action for one.
