I hate it when an American company advertises their scopes but we can't order them anyway. Cameraland shouldn't even be available on CGN.

Really?I've been more than happy with the rangefinders and binoculars I've bought from them.I guess Cameraland brought in the US export laws right? Some people....Mur

The cost of the export license has gone up again, and with the amount of paperwork to be done on each sale it's not worth it.This whole mess is not just the US Government's fault, friendly nations(including Canada) were offered an exemption from these rules, but the Liberals(Jean Chretien)didn't bother to apply. That's why Midway can ship a Leupold to England or Germany, but not Canada.Another Liberal antigun measure. Mur

No, we cannot ship a riflescope to Canada. Not our decision, but one we must abide by. We can however, offer you forum member deals on Binoculars, Spotting Scopes, Cameras, etc. As well as offering personalized customer service.
We can also continue to provide you with information on the latest releases and advances in Cameras and Sports Optics (even on goods we are not able to ship internationally as we know you would like to be in the know about what is coming soon).
*For those of you who know us and have worked with us in years past, we appreciate the continued support.
*For those of you who we have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, we look forward to welcoming you to the Camera Land family and working together.
*For those of you who feel that the deals and information we provide are worthless because the US Dept of Commerce will not allow us to ship Riflescopes to Canada, please feel free to ignore the posts we make.
Have a great day

O.K. Smart Guy. Try ordering a rifle scope from them. You owe me an apology.

There was only two lines in that post about scopes. Doug is a sponsor at a NUMBER of forums, and I'm guessing he doesn't re-type every post for every site.

He's an AWESOME sponsor, and as he noted, sells us binocs and cameras and rangefinders. I've bought a bunch of stuff from Cameraland, and their service and prices are unbeateable.

Oh - and NO ONE 'owes' you #### all.

Now my feelings are hurt but you still can't order rifle scopes from them. Booo Hooo I hate these import export laws. Crap!!

vortex scopes

These are available in Canada anyway and the Viper PST scopes will be in shortly for tactical and hunting use. I should be able to get anything you want.

When these new Vortex items become available I will post that information and will answer any questions pertaining to them. You can purchase them thru a Vortex authorized dealer in Canada and we can speak with Vortex to find a dealer near you. It is our pleasure to work with you

Thanks to Doug and his crew for supporting gunnutz! I appreciate all the info you can pass on about Vortex Optics, I know the owner of the Canadian Distribution center and Paul is a great guy, willing to do anything to satisfy his customers.

I like the looks of the new line up for 2010, there will definetly be a Viper PST headed my way and possibly even a Razor if my rifle build happens soon! Can't wait!

Well, what do you know. Some constructive advice and places to shop in our country. Thank you, 7magman and Crashman. I have indeed been looking around for a Vortex scope.
