Have a Tokarev TT33 in 7.62 x 25 and a Norinco Tokarev 9mm and was playing around with the mags and found that they seem to all be the same, they fit in either pistol. I didn't cycle any rounds.
Anyone know if they are interchangeable?

depends on which way you're going- if it's a 7.62 , or a 9mm on a 7.62 frame( barrel change only) yes- if it's a 9mm on a 213 frame, there may be a spacer either in the frame or at the back of the mag to take up the extra space- there's also instructions on the net on how to re-convert it back

Not looking to change anything - just checking to see if I can use the 7.62 mags in the 9 and vice versa.

the short answer is probably YES- if the mags fit both guns , then they are interchangeable-there may be feeding issues when you put 9mm cartridges in 7.62 magazines, but i've never experienced it, and mine is a 7.62 with a 9mm barrel mounted- chinese t-54 or whatever you call it- the one with the stupid safety

Thanks, I'll give it a try at the range.
Maybe I'll let the son-in-law try it first tho. :D
