New B&C stocks installed - pics

yeah I like how it turned out. I got the MaxxGuard finish, it's like the Browning Duratouch. Nice feel to it! Worth the extra $30. Btw took 10 weeks from order date to arrival, and dealing with Accuracy Innovations was painless once again :)

Numrich just ran a deal on original Ti stocks(Made by B&C).I picked up a L/A Ti Mountain rifle stock for $67US and a Ti SAUM stock for $62US.They charge $25 for export but it's still a smokin' deal. It's worth checking their site once in a while, they had 100 stocks and sold them all in 24 hours! Nice! What model is the Leupold?

Vx3 4.5-14x40 Long Range (30mm tube) with fine duplex and M1 turret installed by Korth. Got 62moa of adjustment from a 200 yard zero, should be good out to about 1700 yards :D

1 mile, cool! Would be interesting to see how the 7saum does out there...:D

I'm surprise that you went with that stock Todd, your rifles are usually configured to be light and ergonmically correct for a hunting rifle. Don't you find that stock to be a bit more on the clunky side then what your use to?

yeah it`s not a sleek hunting rifle, but for it's intended purpose (long range target) it fits the bill nicely. Its a nice "break" from the norm when I open up the safe :D

You should try it before you knock it...You might even learn something! :D

162gr Amax

Getting serious about this long range crap!!
Right on! R:d:
Sort of like crack, but with a long pipe, and well....More expensive! :D :D

Look for somewhere in the 2850-2900fps range. Tune the load in 1/2 grain increments at range and try jamming the bullet well into the lands (not so far it pushes the bullet back in the neck). Given you are shooting a Sendero I would try the jammed bullet first.
My Sendero's have had crappy and somewhat sloppy chambers...Jamb seating helped me with the chit tolerances....Especially with a twitchy bullet like the Berger.

Good luck!

I was shooting 160 Accubonds tonight (66grs RL25) 2980 fps. 6 shots in 1.75" @ 100m, not great. I got the rifle last summer and this load shot around 1MOA out to 400y, maybe I need to bed it in the new stock.......or do some real load work - or both!

Sounds like you might have a bedding issue....I had bedding issues with my HS.

As you no doubt already know Remington actions are not round and despite what B&C or HS says it can play hell with accuracy in this type of a system.
Talk to guntech about the stock...He fixed mine (bedded it) then I sold it. :p
The guy I sold the stock to had to re-bed again.....

Is the mag box floating clear of the action (not squished in between the floor plate and action)?
Make sure the front guard screw is fully floating as well.
It can't touch anything but the bottom metal and the action threads.

Make sure the scope/mounts are right before you spend any money....I would never send a rifle out for work that had a scope/mount issue....RIIIIGHT! :p

Did you get the 8mag rolling?

EDIT
Just noticed you are using RL-25.
RL-25 drops velocity fairly quickly in cold weather and can vary significantly from lot to lot.....If you developed the load in the warm weather the load may have dropped out of the sweet spot.
RL-22 and H-1000 might be worth a look.
Ignore my velocity recommendations with the Accubonds.
