I want to upgrade the iron sights on my cz858. I'm thinking the NEA fiber optic sight with Rauch Tactical peep rear.

Who sells the NEA fiber optic sight.

Has anybody used the sights and can comment on the quality compared to factory iron sights.

I just got off the phone with Danielle over at Wolverine, and she say MAYBE middle of march. And thats after she asked John.:p Charles, you're a tease. Whups, I just slipped a nipple while I washed my car, now it's off to church for me!

Got my fiber optic iron sights today and installed them. I ordered the red front and green rear (NEA) from Target Sports.

Target was great to deal with. I just phoned them up and was able to order the parts right away. I would like to see them update their site, I like to browse online, but the staff on the phone was fantastic and made it easy to do business.

The NEA sights look great. I bought the red front and green rear for the contrast, but after installing them and walking around the house making "sight pictures" at stuff and out the window, I think I would prefer green on green. The green is a bit brighter in low light and I was seeing alot of black on green, but still a good, clear picture. Definitely an improvement over the original.

The install was easy. I have a proper front sight tool, so I measured the height of the front sight, and then removed it. I screwed in the new one, adjusted it down to my measurement and added a couple drops of red loctite- hopefully I don`t need to re-adjust it!

The only hard part about the rear sight install was finding directions in this forum.

-It would be great if the rear sight removal was added to the sticky-

I popped out the old rear and popped in the new one in about 1 min, on my own, on my lap.

I will post pics and a range report in the next week or so.

Ok, the update!!! My CZ858 is stock with a factory folder.

First, sorry about the wait, life has a way of getting in the way of living.

Second, I smashed my cell phone camera and don't own a digital so there are no pics.

I had no trouble installing the sights, as stated, and finally got to the range today. The sights adjusted as well as the original, and using the sight tool made it easy. I shot at 25, 50 and 100m, and used 20rnds of non-corrosive huntable ammo. The site picture with the red front and green rear is fantastic. Crisp and clean with perfect contrast. The point and shoot at close range, under 50m was quick and easy, put the red dot on the target and let loose. I then set about shooting at 100m and the red front still was quick and bright against the black target. I found it natural to keep the red in between the green, it seemed to come naturally to the eye. After all my adjustments where completed I applied loctite to the front sight to keep it in place.

I look forward to more shooting and plan to use my CZ858 as my pack/ hiking rifle and hope to take a bear with it.

I like these sights and will recommend them to anybody.
