No flash-hider heavy barrel M14 ...

If you find a blank and someone to machine it, I have all the info your machinist will need.

That info would be for a 18.5 + barrel? Where would one get a barrel blank? I just posted the other day on M14-forum in texas also asking about barrel makers.

What you really want is a new gas assembly and op-rod guide to allow you to use a 3/4" to 7/8" barrel measured at the muzzle with a heavy profile in the hand gaurd.

Why even bother ? Instead of wrecking a perfectly good battle rifle, just buy a precision target rifle.

I hear you Dimitri on that! I just found this pic in a thread below and it's purdy much what I'm tryna do with a shorty 18.5 with no threads/flash-hider ... however, I'm sure this was just cut down as NOBODY will custom make a barrel ... well nobody I've talked to yet ... :(
