Dream AR Finished!! (image intensive)

I think the UBR is better suited for piston upper AR`s like this, the extra weight at the back helps with the overall balance of the carbine.

When I say the UBR is heavy on the 416 I'm not just speculating. I've owned that very same setup and I found it was far too heavy for a 10 inch gun...IMHO a CQB rifle should be as light and fast as possible.

But to each, his own.

hey not to steal thunder from blaxsun but i happened to stumble upon this. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=445232.

cliffnotes.

Titan Defense TD-415 (HK416 clone)
looks like an duck, appearently cycles like a duck, quacks like a duck, sure as hell tastes like a duck and most importantly, it appearently shoots like a duck...

only this 416-shaped duck is like $1250 USD. i know it's not the real thing and im going to get a real one neways but this is one helluva way to make you think that you've got a real one... just thought i'd throw this sweet little bone into the mix.

The Knights Armament Triple Tap flash hider, complete with upside down logo (a collector's item no doubt!)

The Most Expensive flash suppressor...
How much that cost you?

What is the diameter of the barrel under the handguard ? Any difference between the MR223 and the HK416?

Both were identical (aside from the length, obviously) as far as I could ascertain, with the exception that the HK416 barrel has that notch about 1/3 of the way up and is marked "5.56mm Nato". The bolts and carrier group looked identical as well. In fact, aside from the polymer ejection port cover and external HK markings on the upper of the HK MR223, the only way you could tell the uppers apart are the pin offsets. The handguards are also the same, except the HK MR223 doesn't have any numbered markings along the top rail and the handguard bolt is slightly different.

I`ve never touched a 416 but on my 10.5' PWS the UBR is perfect,it really does help it balance out.

Weight shouldnt be a problem if your setup is slinged properly but your right its all down to preferences. I know one thing I`ve blown lots of money trying different things and my PWS/ATR//// as it stands right now is perfect and if it continues to work flawlessly I would say its the best :) :nest:
